It began on a balcony on Rambla del Poblenou. Four friends comparing Spain to the places they had lived before, trying to work out what exactly made Catalonia their new home.
Before moving to Spain, Karina and Petr had spent years making documentary work for a YouTube channel with 4.4 million subscribers. Anna brought eight years of entrepreneurship and the routes she had been building for herself and her friends for many years. People kept asking her to publish them, but she always refused, because travel blogging was never her interest. Now that collection of rare locations finally had a purpose. Mark, with a background in coordination, was training as a yacht captain and spoke Spanish well.
The same thing annoyed all four of them about existing travel content: "Top 5 places in Barcelona," "Where to find the best tapas in Catalonia," posts written by people whose taste there was no reason to trust. The same restaurants in every guide. Lists without curation and recommendations without context.
Why this place and not another? — the answer is never there.
They don't want to turn the places they love into tourist attractions, or to see the people on camera posing for someone who came for a photo rather than a story. So every guide is its own, every expedition rare, every chapter chosen with care.
This is Vianédita. Started by four people who needed to tell the truth about a country they are still discovering themselves.
We live in the age of infinite travel content. Algorithms have analyzed every Mediterranean coastline. ChatGPT builds an itinerary in thirty seconds. Influencers have stood in every famous square with the same shot.
And somewhere in that excess, travel lost its meaning. Destinations became boxes to tick. Trips became photo zones. Places became nothing more than a backdrop.
Vianédita exists to give travel its meaning back.
The film is the product. Travel is its extension. We are a documentary team that monetizes through travel products. Not a travel brand that makes content for marketing.
We study a region closely and choose the stories most worth attention. We find the people who make these places what they are. We interview each of them and film their location for a documentary on YouTube. From our route and our expedition, we build a travel guide to the region, made only of places we have checked ourselves.
We don't chase the number of locations. We look for what genuinely deserves your time.
